FSU quarterback Tommy Castellanos has declared for the 2026 NFL draft, announcing the news Tuesday night on social media. He spent the 2025 season with the Seminoles and took the time to say what it meant to wear the garnet and gold.

“To Florida State, thank you for changing my life,” Castellanos wrote. “Being a Seminole has been an absolute dream come true. From the relationships built to the moments that will stay with me forever, I’m proud to graduate from this incredible university and I will carry the garnet and gold with me wherever I go.

Castellanos started all 12 games for the Seminoles after transferring in ahead of the 2025 season. He had an up-and-down season, completing 58.3% of his passes for 2,760 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He was also FSU’s leading rusher with 137 carries for 557 yards and nine touchdowns. He made some impressive plays, but also struggled to consistently complete passes and made questionable decisions.

Castellanos started his career at UCF in 2022, before spending two seasons with Boston College Eagles, and concluded his career with the Seminoles. He completed 58.5% of his passes in his career for 6,449 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. He also ran for 1,984 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The Seminoles may once again be headed to the transfer portal to look for a veteran quarterback ahead of the 2026 season. The only quarterbacks they will have on the roster next season are Kevin Sperry and Jaden O’Neal after Brock Glenn and Jaylin King both announced their plans to enter the transfer portal.
