With the signing of Kalen King, the Cardinals now have seven cornerbacks on the roster.

The Arizona Cardinals added a cornerback to their roster on Tuesday to replace Garrett Williams, who was placed oninjured reserve with a torn Achilles. They announced, among other roster moves, that they signed cornerback Kalen King from the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers to their active roster.

King is a 5-11, 190-pound corner who was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2024 in the seventh round. He spent his rookie season on Green Bay’s practice squad. He played one game for the Panthers, logging seven special teams snaps. He has been on their practice squad otherwise.

He played for Penn State in college. In his collegiate career, he played in 38 games, starting 23 of them. He finished his college career with 82 tackles (58 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, 28 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

With his addition to the roster, the Cardinals now have seven cornerbacks on the roster — Max Melton, Will Johnson, Denzel Burke, Kei’Trel Clark, Darren Hall, Elijah Jones and King.
