The Pittsburgh Steelers have released defensive tackle Kyler Baugh from the practice squad. He is out of the practice squad to make room for wide receiver Brandon Johnson, who will be joining room after DK Metcalf’s two game suspension.

Baugh has been on the practice squad the entire season to this point after the Steelers inked him to a contract on August 1 in the middle of training camp.

Baugh is a second year player who spent time on the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad in December of 2024. He never played in a game, though, and the Steelers brought him in as relief for some injuries.

Baugh most recently played with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL, playing in four games and posting one sack and two tackles for loss.

Over his years with the Golden Gophers, Baugh played in 26 games with four sacks. He added four pass deflections and a forced fumble over his college career.

Now, Baugh will look to land either somewhere else, or loop back around to the Steelers once some of the injuries pass at other key positions. The Steelers have just one defensive lineman on the practice squad at the moment in Anthony Goodlow.
