WAHINGTON (7News) — The future of the Washington Commanders and a possible return to the District will take center stage Monday morning as team president Mark Clouse joins D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser at an Economic Club Executive Conversation event.
Bowser is set to deliver remarks at the 11 a.m. event.
The conversation will include a sit-down interview with Clouse conducted by Economic Club Board Officer Lawrence Di Rita, who serves as Head of Global Public Policy and President of Greater Washington, D.C., for Bank of America.

Clouse is expected to discuss the transformation of the Commanders’ brand, the business of professional sports in the D.C. region, and more.
The conversation comes on the heels of a major announcement last month involving a historic deal to bring the team back to the District. The proposed agreement would build a new stadium on the site of the old RFK Stadium. The deal still needs final approval from the D.C. Council.
