The New York Jets are turning one of their final pages of the 2025 NFL season.

In Week 17, the Jets (3-12) will host New York Patriots (12-3) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

There have been a lot of changes in New York. We’re seeing the results of those choices and the outcome against the Pats will reveal even more.

Before we even get to kickoff, there will be a lot of Jets-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.

With that, here are five storylines to watch for ahead of the Jets against the Patriots in Week 17:

Final home stand

With two weeks left in the 2025 season for the Jets, the offseason is in sight. Of the team’s final two outings, this is the last game at MetLife Stadium in New York.

How will that scene look?

Any motivation?

After winning three of five games in the middle of the season, the Jets have looked like a team not at all motivated to play. Being smoked by the lowly New Orleans Saints showed that last week.

Can head coach Aaron Glenn get any tuned this time? This one is a good measuring stick against the AFC East leaders.

Ending a bad streak

The Jets defense has set the NFL record for games in a row without an interception. Can Glenn’s defense end this embarrassing streak? Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has eight interceptions in 2025, for those curious.

For Breece

On one positive note to look forward to, the Jets could have a 1,000-yard rusher on their hands in Breece Hall. Can he find a way there against the Patriots at home? He is sitting at 954 rushing yards so far in 2025.

A look at Cook

It appears the Jets will give Brady Cook a chance to prove his worth over the final two games. He’s not a starting-caliber quarterback, but why not see if Cook can prove he is a worthy backup?

The Patriots have the 11th best pass defense in the NFL heading into Week 17, allowing 202.0 yards per game.
