The Seattle Seahawks’ injury status is pretty cut and dry as they begin their week going into Sunday’s road game against the Carolina Panthers.
Where Seahawks’ No. 1 seed odds stand after Week 16
Two players did not practice Wednesday, making their statuses for Sunday very much in doubt. Everybody else on the active roster seems well on track to suit up in Charlotte.
The two who were non-participants Wednesday were left tackle Charles Cross and safety Coby Bryant.
Cross continues to nurse a hamstring injury suffered in Seattle’s Dec. 14 win over Indianapolis. He missed all of last week’s practices, and Josh Jones moved into Seattle’s starting offensive lineup in Cross’ absence.
Bryant has a knee injury coming out of last Thursday’s win over the Los Angeles Rams. Ty Okada is the likely replacement in his starting safety spot if Bryant cannot play Sunday.
Reporter Jen Mueller of the Seahawks Radio Network said neither Cross nor Bryant is expected to go on injured reserve, which would effectively end their seasons, per head coach Mike Macdonald. For more, watch Mueller’s video report at the top of this post.
The Seahawks had four other players listed on their injury report for Wednesday, all of whom were full participants: tight end A.J. Barner (elbow), right tackle Abraham Lucas (neck), nose tackle Jarran Reed (wrist/thumb), and wide receiver Cody White (abdomen).
