After signing veteran wide receiver Brandon Johnson to the practice squad Wednesday, the Steelers announced they released defensive tackle Kyler Baugh in a corresponding move.
Baugh has had a few stints with the Steelers, first joining the team’s practice squad in December of 2024. He’s yet to appear in a regular season NFL game. He went undrafted in 2024 after playing college football at the University of Minnesota.
Pittsburgh added Johnson, who has past experience with the Steelers and has played in 23 career games, following wide receiver D.K. Metcalf’s two-game suspension.
The Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST. Johnson is a candidate to be elevated to the active roster ahead of the game.
