The only transfer portal window of the offseason is just over a week away. Many players are announcing their future intentions before the party officially gets started on Jan. 2. A former Kentucky outside linebacker will be on the move again.
Caleb Redd will be leaving Kansas after just one season. The St. Louis native will be a redshirt sophomore in 2026 with three years of eligibility remaining.
The class of 2024 recruit played 12 defensive snaps for Kentucky during his true freshman campaign but only appeared in only two games to preserve his redshirt. Caleb Redd appeared in just two games for Kansas this season. The EDGE prospect recorded 27 sacks over his last two seasons of high school football and will be looking for his third college football home in three seasons next month.
Caleb Redd was one of four class of 2024 signees to leave the uK program after just one season. That group has been followed by Steven Soles Jr. and David Washington Jr. after news that each would become free agents in January. The Cats have 18 players from that signing class remaining on the roster as head coach Will Stein and his new coaching staff takes over at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
