With the help of the Cincinnati Bengals‘ defense, Joe Burrow earned one of the NFL’s weekly honors for his performance versus the Miami Dolphins Dec. 21.
Burrow was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his showing in Cincinnati’s 45-21 victory at Hard Rock Stadium, the league and Bengals announced Dec. 24.
With the Bengals’ defense repeatedly grabbing takeaways off Miami in the second half and setting Burrow up with advantageous field position, Burrow made the Dolphins pay.
Burrow was 25-for-32 passing for 309 yards and four touchdowns. His passer rating ended up at 146.5 − a season high and the second-highest in a game in his career.
