CINCINNATI, Ohio — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his commanding performance in the team’s 45-21 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.
Burrow completed 25 of 32 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns without throwing an interception, posting a passer rating of 146.5. The rating marked a season high and the second-highest of his career, while ranking as the sixth-best by any NFL quarterback in a single game this season.
The performance led all AFC quarterbacks in Week 16 in both passer rating and touchdown passes. Burrow also ranked second in completion percentage at 78.1 percent and third in passing yards among conference signal-callers.
The Week 16 game marked Burrow’s 75th career regular-season appearance, a milestone that highlights his historic pace. Through 75 games, he ranks first among all NFL quarterbacks in completions with 1,868, third in touchdown passes with 152, and fifth in passing yards with 20,269. During the Miami game, he became the third-fastest quarterback in league history to reach 150 career touchdown passes and the fifth-fastest to surpass 20,000 passing yards.
Burrow spread the ball around effectively, completing at least one pass to eight different receivers. He was particularly sharp on third downs, achieving a perfect 158.3 passer rating by going seven of eight for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
The honor marks Burrow’s eighth career AFC Offensive Player of the Week award and his first of the current season.
