It’s Christmas Day, and this is the second of three games on the NFL slate. The Detroit Lions head to Minnesota to take on their division rivals, the Vikings, in what is expected to be a low-scoring game. The Vikings have been eliminated from playoff contention, but the Lions are still mathematically in the race, so there is still a lot to play for them. The Vikings will be starting their 3rd string quarterback this week, which gives the Lions a massive advantage. Here are the bold predictions for the game and a final score prediction.

RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combine for 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The 8-7 Detroit Lions travel to Minnesota to take on the 7-8 Vikings in a game between two division rivals. The Lions will try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, while the Vikings will look to get to .500 on the season. The Lions are the clear favorite in this game thanks to their explosive offense, but even more so because the Vikings are starting their third-string quarterback, Max Brosmer, who threw four interceptions in his lone start this season.
The Lions one weakness all season long has been their pass defense, so if the Vikings aren’t able to exploit that due to their quarterback situation, the Lions should win handily. Here is the final score prediction.
Final Score: Lions 27 – Vikings 16
