Could the Baltimore Ravens actually consider trading away Lamar Jackson? That would’ve been considered a ridiculous question to ask a few weeks ago, but not so much anymore.

Jackson, a four-time Pro Bowler, has been sensational for the Ravens since entering the NFL in 2018. He currently has 22,370 passing yards, 6,513 rushing yards and 219 total touchdowns. Unfortunately, his 2025 season has been plagued by injuries. To make matters worse, there seems to be drama brewing behind the scenes in Baltimore.

According to Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are “at a crossroads” with Jackson. Although a trade isn’t imminent at this time, there’s actually a world where the two-time MVP could be dealt.

If the Ravens are open to trading Jackson this offseason, he’d apparently prefer to play for the Miami Dolphins.

“The Ravens should look at possible trades, which could net them two or three first-round picks,” Preston wrote. “Jackson would love to play in Miami, where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer the starter, or possibly Las Vegas, where Brady, a partial owner of the Raiders, has shown fondness for him. Baltimore should also draft a young quarterback in the early rounds.”

Can the Dolphins pull off a trade?

A week ago, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel benched Tua Tagovailoa. It was a gutsy decision considering Tagovailoa is in the middle of a four-year, $212 million contract.

If the Dolphins release Tagovailoa next offseason, they’ll have to take on $99.2 million in dead cap. It’s tough to see them landing Jackson when he’s got a $74.5 million cap hit for the 2026 season.

Suffice to say, the Dolphins don’t make the most sense for Jackson from a financial standpoint.
