On Tuesday, the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame announced the finalists for the 2025 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy, and four Gamecocks made the cut.

Junior wide receiver Nyck Harbor, junior defensive back Jalon Kilogre, junior defensive back Brandon Cisse, and senior defensive end Bryan Thomas Jr. earned the distinction of being four of 14 overall finalists for the honor.

Nicknamed the “South Carolina Heisman,” the Blanchard-Rogers Trophy is named for Felix “Doc” Blanchard, a Palmetto State native who won the 1945 Heisman Trophy at Army, and George Rogers, who won the 1980 edition of the Heisman Trophy at USC. Both Blanchard (1961) and Rogers (2013) are members of the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame, as well.

Each year since 2016, the Blanchard-Rogers Trophy has gone to the most outstanding collegiate player with ties to the state. This year’s recipient will receive his award on April 16th at the SCHOF’s annual enshrinement ceremony.

Joining Harbor, Kilgore, Cisse, and Thomas are 10 other finalists. Clemson’s Peter Woods, Adam Randall, and Sammy Brown, South Carolina State’s Jordan Smith and Jarod Washington, Newberry’s Reed Charpia, Curry College’s Montie Quinn, South Florida’s Jhalyn Shuler, Tennessee’s Braylon Staley, and Furman’s Joshua Stoneking are those finalists.

Kilgore, Cisse, and Thomas are off to the NFL, while Harbor has a decision to make regarding his future. If he returns to South Carolina, the explosive wide receiver will have one final year of eligibility remaining.

Former Gamecocks Kyle Kennard (2024), Xavier Legette (2023), and Kevin Harris (2020) have won the Blanchard-Rogers Trophy. With Kennard and Legette, South Carolina products have won the last two iterations of the award. Last year’s list of finalists included two other Gamecocks, quarterback LaNorris Sellers and safety Nick Emmanwori.

Voting for the Blanchard-Rogers Trophy (and the 2025 SCHOF class) is underway.
