The Buffalo Bills hung tight and won 23-20 against the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 16.

The Bills (11-4) did not have their best outing against a lowly team like the Browns (3-12), but did enough for the win. They also taught us a thing or two about this team in the process:

Here are three things we learned about the Bills from the Week 16:

While Bills quarterback Josh Allen seems invincible with his lack of time missed because of injury in his career, he is not. Allen’s play appeared to be effected by an ankle injury. Hopefully that does not hamper him moving forward.

Cook leads the wayDec 21, 2025; Cleveland, Ohio, USA; Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III (4) carries the ball against the Cleveland Browns during the second half at Huntington Bank Field. Mandatory Credit: Ken Blaze-Imagn Images

With Allen not producing in Cleveland, running back James Cook put up 117 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Once again proving he can be relied upon.

Rousseau can be a studDec 21, 2025; Cleveland, Ohio, USA; Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders (12) is pressures by. Buffalo Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau (50) during the second half at Huntington Bank Field. Mandatory Credit: Ken Blaze-Imagn Images

Defensively, the Bills shot down the Browns in the fourth quarter. Pass rusher Greg Rousseau led the way with his two tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in one impressive display.
