OVER THE PAST TWO SEASONS, BURCHELL HAD 52 CATCHES, 598 YARDS AND TWO TOUCHDOWNS. BENJAMIN BREMER IS ALSO HEADED ELSEWHERE FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON. LAST YEAR, HE CAME BACK FROM AN INJURY TO RECORD A TEAM HIGH 37 CATCHES FOR 446 YARDS AND A TEAM BEST SIX TOUCHDOWNS. NOW, BOTH HE AND BURCHELL ARE ON THE OPEN MARKET. CALEB BACON. HE WAS THE TEAM CAPTAIN. NOW HE IS IN THE TRANSFER PORTAL. THE FORMER WALK-ON FROM LAKE MILLS HAD A GREAT SEASON LAST YEAR. 68 TACKLES, 9.5 TACKLES FOR LOSS, THREE SACKS. HE ALSO HAS ONE YEAR REMAINING. FRESHMAN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN WILL THOMPKINS. FORMER FOUR STAR FROM CEDAR FALLS TOLD ON THREE HE IS IN THE PORTAL WITH FOUR YEARS LEFT. THAT LIST INCLUDES EIGHT STARTERS ROCCO BECK, GABE BURCHELL, BENJAMIN BREMER, RUNNING BACK CARSON HANSEN, BRETT ESKELSON, JOHN WILLIAMS, JEREMIAH COOPER, AND LINEBACKER CALEB BACON. NEW HEAD COACH JIMMY ROGERS KNEW THIS WAS A STRONG POSSIBILITY WHEN HE TOOK THE JOB. HERE’S THE FORMER WASHINGTON STATE COACH BACK ON DECEMBER 8TH. Some of Iowa State’s best players continue to enter the transfer portal. Wednesday, Benjamin Brahmer and native Iowans Gabe Burkle and Caleb Bacon added their name to the growing list.Burkle, a tight end from Cedar Rapids, had 52 catches, 598 yards and two touchdowns over the past two seasons. He has one year of eligibility left.Bacon, a captain from Lake Mills, had 68 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks last season. The former walk-on also has one year remaining.Brahmer, a senior tight end, came back from injury this year to record a team-high 37 catches for 446 yards and a team-high six touchdowns.
