Nate Davis’ new power rankings don’t change much for the Cardinals in Week 17.
The Arizona Cardinals have now lost seven straight games and 12 of their last 13. They are 1-9 since Kyler Murray got hurt and 0-7 since they announced Jacoby Brissett as the starting quarterback moving forward.
Their latest loss was 26-19 at home to the Atlanta Falcons after they led 10-0 and 13-3.
They are 3-12. Where does this put them in the latest NFL power rankings from USA TODAY’s Nate Davis in Week 17?
Cardinals don’t move after latest loss
Despite another loss, the Cardinals didn’t move in these power rankings.
They remain No. 25.
Speaking of 1,100-yard rushers (referring to Tennessee’s Tony Pollard who has four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons but never 1,100), they haven’t had one since David Johnson in 2016. Arizona will be fortunate to have a 400-yard rusher in 2025.
Yes, one of the best rushing teams in 2023 and 2024 might not have a 400-yard rusher this year. Michael Carter, who didn’t even make the active roster out of camp, will likely finish the year as the team’s leading rusher.
Somehow, though, they stay ahead of seven other teams, so there’s that.
