The Chiefs are 6-9 and losers of four straight and five of their last six when you go back to the first meeting with the Broncos in Denver. They are down to their third string quarterback as they hope to make one last impact on the AFC West race as they are missing the playoffs after winning the division nine straight times and making 10 straight playoff trips.

The Broncos are 12-3 and coming off a 34-20 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that ended an 11-game winning streak and a 12-game home winning streak. Bo Nix tossed for 352 yards, one score and one pick as Denver’s grip on the top seed in the aFC, and the bye week loosened. The Broncos still control their own destiny, but it means a win this week and a win over the Los Angeles Chargers next week in a game that will determine the AFC West winner as long as the Chargers don’t lose this week and the Broncos win.
