They’ll be doing it without Pat Bryant after his injury a week ago.

Bryant was hurt in the final moments of the Broncos’ Week 16 loss. Bo Nix threw a pass over the middle, and Bryant was crushed.

He stayed down and had to be carted off on a back board in what was a scary scene.

Bryant was taken to the hospital.

The first news that came after that was good: Bryant was discharged with a concussion and nothing else.

But this week, things didn’t immediately get better.

Bryant didn’t participate in practice leading into Week 17, and he has already been ruled out for the Broncos’ game on Thursday night against the Chiefs.

The rookie Bryant has shown promise, and Denver would love to get him back for the playoffs.

But for the moment, he’s out, and the Broncos will continue to support him as he attempts to recover from a brutal hit.
