The Atlanta Falcons haven’t had much to celebrate this year. But one Falcon with ties to Douglas is having a pretty good season in spite of his team’s woes.

Seven-year NFL veteran Kentavius Street, who was a Coffee Trojan before moving to North Carolina when he was in high school, is in his third year with the Falcons. He’s played in 84 games during his career, starting 10. This season, he’s played in six games and tallied 17 tackles – eight solo and nine assisted. He also has two tackles for loss, one sack, and one quarterback hit.

In Atlanta’s last game, a 26-19 win over Arizona, Street tallied two tackles, one of which was a tackle for loss.

For his career, Street has 121 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hits, and 9.5 sacks.

The Falcons have had a disappointing 2025-2026 campaign. The defense has played well but the offense has been inconsistent and frustrating, particularly in terms of quarterback play. As Atlanta finishes its season, one of the biggest considerations is what to do at quarterback. With starter Michael Penix recovering from an ACL injury, the Falcons have some serious quarterback questions to answer in the offseason.

In the meantime, the 6-9 Falcons have two games remaining, both of which are at home – against Carolina and Tampa Bay.
