Four Eagles were listed as non-participants on the Eagles’ Christmas Day injury report.
The Eagles did not actually hold a practice today so the report is an estimation. The same four players who missed Wednesday’s practice were listed as DNP on Thursday’s report:
Did not practice: WR A.J. Brown (teeth), LB Nakobe Dean (hamstring), RT Lane Johnson (foot), LG Landon Dickerson (illness)
Full: LB Zack Baun (hand), LB Jihaad Campbell (back/ankle), DT Jalen Carter (shoulders), OT Fred Johnson (calf), FB Cameron Latu (stinger), WR DeVonta Smith (illness), OT Cameron Williams (shoulder)
The Eagles will practice on Friday afternoon before heading to Buffalo this weekend to face the Bills on Sunday. So we’ll learn more about the statuses of these players on Friday.
Brown had wisdom teeth taken out this week so it seems like he’ll be ready to play on Sunday. And Dickerson has played through a bunch of injuries all season, so it also seems likely he’ll be able to play against the Bills.
But it’s looking like Lane Johnson will miss his sixth straight game with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot. The Eagles were hoping Johnson would be back a little sooner than this but are still hoping he will return for the playoffs. Fred Johnson is in line to make his sixth straight start.
Nakobe Dean suffered that hamstring injury in the first half against the Commanders and hasn’t been able to practice this week. On Tuesday, DC Vic Fangio called Dean “iffy” for this game. If Dean can’t go, expect rookie Jihaad Campbell to make his first start in two months.
