Indianapolis Colts’ cornerback Sauce Gardner was listed as a limited participant on the team’s second Week 17 injury report.
Now it’s important to note that the team did not hold practice on Thursday, so that injury report is just an estimation of each player’s practice status.

But with that said, there is at least the belief that Gardner is ready to get back on the practice field in some capacity.
On Wednesday, Shane Steichen told reporters that he is “hopeful” Gardner can go this week.
Gardner has missed the last three games with a calf strain that he suffered in Week 13 against Houston. Up until Thursday, Gardner has been a non-participant in practice as he recovers.
In Gardner’s first two games with the Colts, he has allowed five receptions on 10 targets for 38 yards with two pass breakups. He’s also made 12 tackles.
Without Gardner on Monday Night, the San Francisco passing game picked apart the Colts‘ secondary. Mekhi Blackmon, Cameron Mitchell, and Johnathan Edwards were the Colts‘ top outside cornerback options.
