After going down 24-13, the New England Patriots needed a spark in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
They finally got one when second-year quarterback Drake Maye connected on a 37-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams. Maye has looked like the best deep ball thrower in the league all season long. He caught Williams streaking down the sideline and fit the ball perfectly over the top so that he was the only one who could get it.
The touchdown catch was Williams’ third of the season, and it helped the Patriots make the game a 24-21 contest following a successful two-point conversion. The NFL’s social media account put out an alternate angle of the play from a sky view.
The Patriots went on to complete their 11-point comeback and knock off the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. Maye threw for 380 yards, two touchdowns and one interception to help the team improve to 12-3 on the season.
