The Buffalo Bills reported no change in Josh Allen’s injury status ahead of Sunday’s game. Allen continues to deal with a foot issue. He was listed as limited on Thursday’s practice estimate. He was also limited during Wednesday’s walk-through.

Buffalo did not hold a full practice on Thursday. Allen will have one more chance on Friday to receive a full practice designation. Final Week 17 injury statuses will be released later that day.

Despite the listing, Allen plans to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott addressed the injury earlier this week. He described Allen as day to day but said he expects Allen to be available. The foot issue may cause discomfort, but it should not keep him out.

Allen suffered the injury late in the first half against the Cleveland Browns. He underwent X-rays during halftime. Allen returned for the second half and finished the game as Buffalo held on for a 23–20 win.

The Bills enter Week 17 with an 11-4 record and have clinched a playoff berth. But Buffalo is still in pursuit of the New England Patriots (12-3) in the AFC East. But the Bills will struggle to do much in the playoffs if Allen isn’t healthy enough to play at an MVP level.

Allen has completed a career-high 69.6% of his passes this season for 3,406 yards with 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also does a lot of damage with his legs, rushing for 552 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Buffalo hosts the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles (10-5) at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in a game that will be televised nationally on Fox. Both teams will look to improve their playoff seed over the final two weeks of the regular season.
