The New York Giants have just two games remaining in this very disappointing season, which has seen the team lose 13 of their 15 games thus far.

Head coach Brian Daboll was fired in November and replaced on an interim basis by his assistant and offensive coordinator, Mike Kafka. The Giants have gone 0-5 under Kafka, and it’s beginning to look like he won’t be as serious a full-time successor as they had hoped.

Many names have been bandied about to be interested in the job, and the Giants appear to be interested in one man in particular: Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman.

It would be a typical lust hire for this Giants team, who have gotten this decision wrong five times since parting ways with Tom Coughlin after the 2015 season.

Former Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate, who played several seasons for the Giants, hopes that Freeman says put in South Bend, citing that he has no NFL experience and very few contacts in the NFL coaching community. Not to mention, the Giants’ job will likely end in failure, whereas he has a great thing going with the Irish.

Many experienced coaches are said ot be leery of the Giants’ job. It is believed the front office is suspect, especially general manager Joe Schoen, and the urge to win immediately will add too much pressure on whoever takes over.
