The LA Chargers can provide the Jacksonville Jaguars with some big help in Week 17.

Although the Jaguars have clinched a playoff spot, the AFC South title is still up for grabs, and that is where the Chargers enter the equation.

The Jaguars will enter Week 17 at 11-4, while Houston is 10-5, giving Jacksonville a one-game lead.

On Saturday, the Chargers take on the Houston Texans at home. A Texans’ loss coupled with a Jaguars’ win over Indianapolis would secure the division for Jacksonville.

For what it’s worth, of NFL.com’s five expert predictors, three are picking the Texans to win, and two are taking the Chargers.

Here is why Gennaro Filice likes Houston:

“The Texans are a whole different animal up front,” wrote Filice, “and the Chargers are only a couple of games removed from yielding seven sacks to the Eagles. I know Herbert’s dying to avenge his four-pick flop against this team in the opening contest of last season’s playoffs. Unfortunately, 11 months after that ghastly performance, the quarterback’s protection is a nightmare. Despite a venue change from Houston to Los Angeles, the end result remains the same: This game goes to the game-wreckers.”

Of course, regardless of what happens between LA and Houston, the Jaguars still have to take care of their own business.

Along with needing a win over the Colts to either secure the division title or to keep pace with Houston, the Jaguars also still find themselves in the mix for the AFC’s No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

To earn that top playoff spot, there are three things that must happen over the final two weeks of the regular season.
