LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The Chicago Bears will once again be without a top option on offense for the Week 17 game in primetime against the San Francisco 49ers. On Friday, the Bears ruled out wide receiver Rome Odunze for the Week 17 game as he continues to deal with a foot injury.

Odunze hasn’t played since the win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, a month ago. He did try to play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 but suffered a setback in pregame warmups. With the Bears clinching a playoff spot, it’s unlikley we see Odunze play until the playoffs as it will allow him to fully heal.

In addition to Odunze, the Bears have ruled out defensive back Nick McCloud with an illness. There are five other players who are questionable including defensive back Nahshon Wright and linebacker TJ Edwards.  Below is the full injury report.

OUT

– WR Rome Odunze (foot)

– DB Nick McCloud (illness)

QUESTIONABLE

– DB Nahshon Wright (hamstring/illness)

–  LB T.J. Edwards (glute)

– DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson (knee)

– DB Josh Blackwell (ilness)

– OL Luke Newman (foot)
