The Carolina Panthers are getting one of their big hog mollies back for Sunday’s matchup against the NFC-leading Seattle Seahawks.
According to head coach Dave Canalaes, starting left tackle Ikem Ekwonu is expected to return to the lineup here in Week 17. Ekwonu, who missed last weekend’s massive win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a knee injury, was a full participant in practice throughout the week and has been listed without a game designation.
Canales indicated that wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan will be good to go versus Seattle as well. McMillan, the leading pass catcher amongst all NFL rookies, was given a few rest days this week.
Carolina, however, will not have defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton (hamstring) for a second straight outing. They’ll also be without starting inside linebacker Trevin Wallace, who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery this week.
