It’s no secret the NFL received backlash in September when it named Bad Bunny its halftime performer for Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium.

There were countless people who criticized Bad Bunny, including President Donald Trump and Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre. They don’t consider the Grammy winner to be a patriot who people can relate to. Clearly, they’re not alone. After all, a petition to get the “Titi Me Pregunto” singer removed from the Super Bowl halftime show gained a lot of traction earlier this year.

“I want to be clear I do not condone any racism or hateful behavior connected to this petition. I have no issue with Bad Bunny as an artist he is talented and successful. My concern is simply about the Super Bowl halftime show needing an act with broader appeal across genres and audiences rather than leaning into one lane that may not connect with the majority of viewers. The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the most iconic events in entertainment, drawing millions of viewers from all around the globe. For decades, it has been a platform to celebrate music that unites people, offering a shared experience that brings together fans from different backgrounds, tastes, and cultures,” the petition reads.

While it’s unlikely the NFL will make changes to its Super Bowl halftime show, fans made it clear they’d love to see Snoop Dogg on the stage at Levi’s Stadium.

Snoop Dogg performed at halftime for this year’s Christmas game between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. He shared the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium with country star Lainey Wilson, HUNTR/X and Andrea Bocelli.

Fans prefer Snoop Dogg over Bad Bunny.

“Snoop Dogg’s Christmas halftime show at US Bank Stadium was awesome. Snoop Dogg, K-Pop, Lainey Wilson, Andrea and Matteo Bocelli…,” one fan wrote on X. “Good luck to the Super Bowl halftime show.”

“Give the Super Bowl to Snoop Dogg,” a second fan commented.

“Wishing this could be the half-time show at the Super Bowl,” another fan said. “Love Snoop Dogg!!

“Can’t believe I’m going to say this… Dear NFL, please put Snoop Dogg in charge of the Super Bowl Halftime Show! What I just watched on Netflix was classy, modest, well-done, and appealed to everyone,” a social media user wrote.

Snoop Dogg was part of the Super Bowl LIV halftime show at SoFi Stadium back in 2022. He was with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.

Could the NFL add a few more guests to the halftime show for Super Bowl LX? Absolutely, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up about Snoop Dogg returning to the big stage.
