The Indianapolis Colts placed three players on injured reserve on Saturday. That now makes six different starters whose seasons are over due to injuries.
DeForest Buckner (neck), Anthony Gould (foot), and Drew Ogletree (neck) were the three players added to injured reserve ahead of Week 17.

Buckner, as we know, is a force in the middle of the Colts‘ defense against both the run and the pass. Gould has been the Colts’ return specialist this season.
Prior to these moves, the Colts were also without Charvarius Ward (concussion). The depth of the Indianapolis cornerback room has regularly been tested throughout the season.
Right tackle Braden Smith (concussion) was placed on injured reserve recently, and the Colts are also without quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles). That injury drastically changed the course of the Colts’ once-promising season.
Early in the year, kicker Spencer Shrader (knee) was placed on injured reserve as well. Blake Grupe has provided some stability at kicker as of late, but to get to that point, there were some ups and downs with Michael Badgley.

Anthony Richardson has spent much of the season on IR as well.
The Colts find themselves in the midst of a five-game losing streak, and they have lost six of their last seven games. Indianapolis is now clinging to their playoff hopes.
The Colts’ second-half slide started before several of the aforementioned injuries took place. But attempting to turn things around with these players sidelined has made that task a lot more challenging.
