Jordon Riley just joined the Green Bay Packers this month hoping to provide size up front for a depleted defensive line.

Riley’s season himself now appears could be over.

He departed Saturday’s game early in the second quarter with an Achilles injury. The 338-pound Riley needed assistance in getting to his feet and onto a cart.

Riley, 27, was then taken to the locker room and the Packers ruled him out.

The injury came on Derrick Henry’s second rushing touchdown of the game to put the Ravens ahead 14-7.

The Packers signed Riley off the New York Giants‘ practice squad on Dec. 3 after interior lineman Devonte Wyatt suffered a season-ending ankle injury in a win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

The line suffered its biggest blow as week later with the loss of All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.

It’s the second straight week that the Packers have lost a player to an Achilles injury. Tight end John FitzPatrick suffered a torn Achilles in the team’s 22-16 loss to the Chicago Bears.
