The Falcons have had a lot of ups and downs this season, whether it was injuries, lackluster play, or even being eliminated from playoff contention. Although the year has not turned out the way some thought it would, Atlanta fans still had plenty to cheer for, such as running back Bijan Robinson and guard Chris Lindstrom, who were voted to the Pro Bowl Games.

Why Bijan Robinson and Chris Lindstrom Deserved Their Pro Bowl Selections

Robinson currently has 1,250 rushing yards and six touchdowns while catching 71 passes for 776 yards and three touchdowns. Robinson is a versatile back who can run and catch the ball, and that versatility has stood out with the Falcons, who have even used him at wide receiver at times. Robinson’s best game came in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown and added eight catches for 82 yards.

Robinson is a focal point of the Falcons’ offense, and it typically does not get going unless he does. PFSN has Bijan Robinson at an 85.3 Running Back Impact Score. Robinson was voted to the Pro Bowl Games, and rightfully so, based on the season he had.

It was reported by Terrin Waack of the official team site that head coach Raheem Morris spoke about Robinson last Sunday, saying:

“Bijan Robinson is absolutely a phenomenal player. I’ve been calling him the best player in football all year. Arguably, I got a lot of love for that guy and what he brings to a football team, not just as a player but as a human on the field and off the field. Everything that we ask from our players and what a Falcon looks like is Bijan Robinson.”

Robinson leads the NFC in rushing yards and ranks fifth in the entire NFL. He trails players such as James Cook III, who leads the league in rushing yards, Jonathan Taylor, and others, which puts Robinson in strong company. He has shown that he can be one of the most productive backs in the conference alongside players like Christian McCaffrey.

Meanwhile, Lindstrom is a staple on the offensive line. His communication and blocking ability have proven to be top-tier in the NFL. Lindstrom has allowed only one sack this season and has done a strong job of keeping Atlanta’s quarterbacks upright. PFF has Lindstrom with a 90.2 run-block grade and a 66.2 pass-block grade, with an overall grade of 85.9.

Lindstrom is a premier offensive lineman in the NFL, and although he dealt with several injuries, he was mostly available for the team, playing 970 snaps this season. Robinson and Lindstrom also helped carry the Falcons to 124.7 rushing yards per game, which ranks ninth in the NFL and fifth in the NFC. Having a top-five rushing attack in the conference speaks volumes about their impact.
