The Chargers signed first-round pick running back Omarion Hampton on Monday, according to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.

Second-round pick wide receiver Tre Harris is the only member of Los Angeles’ draft class that remains unsigned.

Hampton agreed to his four-year rookie contract with L.A. and will make $17.7 million, including a $9.56M signing bonus. The Chargers will have an option for a fifth season that must be exercised before Hampton’s fourth year in the league.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman want to instill a dominant running game, and they’re banking on getting that with Hampton and veteran Najee Harris.

Hampton finished his collegiate career at North Carolina as the ninth all-time leading rusher in program history with 2,911 yards, and the sixth most career rushing touchdowns with 30.
