Mecole Hardman likely won’t be remembered for his Buffalo Bills tenure.

The 27-year old wide receiver and return specialist, once a key piece of the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty, was released by Buffalo after playing just two games, the team announced on Saturday.

In Hardman’s two games, he was a non-factor on offence, being targeted once for no yards.

As for special teams, Hardman had an impressive 61-yard kick return against the Buccaneers, but also lost a fumble on a punt return that same game.

Hardman was a Pro Bowler in 2019. He had a career-high 693 receiving yards for the Chiefs in 2021, and was on all three of Kansas City’s Super Bowl-winning teams of the Patrick Mahomes era.

The Bills also announced that they have recalled rookie tight end Keleki Latu and elevated kicker Michael Badgley from the practice squad.

Badgley is once again filling in for regular kicker Matt Prater, who is out with a quad injury. Badgley made his only field goal attempt against the Browns last Sunday and went 2-for-3 on PATs.

The Bills look to extend their winning streak to five on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
