The Cincinnati Bengals made several roster moves ahead of the Week 17 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

There, the Bengals announced the elevations of defensive lineman Howard Cross III and cornerback Bralyn Lux from the practice squad to the active roster for the game.

Both players are standard elevations by the Bengals, meaning they revert to the practice squad on the Monday after the game.

Both are solid moves, too.

The Bengals have questionable tags on corner Josh Newton and defensive lineman BJ Hill before kickoff, so this makes sense from an injury standpoint.

With the playoffs out of reach, the Bengals are also in evaluation mode for the long term. Both Cross and Lux have a chance to prove they can stick on the roster into next summer and compete for 53 spots there, too.
