CJ Stroud threw a pair of first quarter touchdowns, and the Texans defense then held on to edge the Chargers in Los Angeles 20-16.
The Texans extended their winning streak to eight games and snapped LA’s winning streak at four.
The win means the Texans are going to the playoffs for the third straight season under Stroud and coach Demeco Ryans.
The win also eliminated the Indianapolis Colts from playoff contention. Those two teams meet next weekend to finish the regular season.
