Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is officially questionable with a knee injury, but that shouldn’t prevent the former first-round pick from suiting up against the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN’s Adam Raimondi, a Falcons beat reporter, said in no uncertain terms that London “will play Monday night” as the team faces off against Los Angeles.

Drake London Injury Update: Falcons WR Will Play Against Rams

Assuming Raimondi’s report is correct, this will be London’s second game back since originally suffering the knee injury in November. The star wideout returned in last week’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, although he didn’t put up an amazing stat line. In total, the wideout caught three of his eight targets for 27 yards and no touchdowns. Prior to his injury, London had three consecutive games with over 100 receiving yards.

While the Falcons themselves have disappointed this year, Drake London has been nothing short of amazing when on the field. In his 10 healthy games, the former first-round pick has recorded 63 receptions for 837 yards and six touchdowns on 102 targets from fellow first-round pick Michael Penix and veteran Kirk Cousins. He’s the clear lead option in the passing attack and should be a staple of this offense for years to come.

While the Falcons are out of the playoff race, they will still give it all they have in Week 17. The Los Angeles Rams own the team’s first-round pick, so the organization has nothing to gain by tanking the rest of the season. Los Angeles is one of the best teams in football and is currently fighting for the NFC West crown, and the Falcons have the opportunity to play spoiler in the penultimate game of the season.
