Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat is officially active for Arizona’s Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Sweat missed all three days of practice this week with ankle and knee issues but entered the tilt as questionable.
The pass rusher went down with what the team called an ankle injury in last week’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He tried to return midgame but was eventually ruled out.
Sweat, who was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate, is posting career marks in his first season with the Cardinals behind 11 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, 16 QB hits and two passes defensed.
As for the other Cardinals listed as questionable heading into the matchup, center Hjalte Froholdt (elbow), wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) and cornerbacks Will Johnson (thumb/chest) and Max Melton (heel) and safety Jalen Thompson (hamstring) are active.
Harrison’s active status comes as no surprise after saying his heel felt “solid” on Friday and that he expected to play. The wide receiver’s snaps, however, will reportedly be managed.
