The Tennessee Titans suffered a disappointing loss to the New Orleans Saints in a competitive Week 17 battle.
The Titans once again showed some growth, but eventually, the injuries took their toll, and their lack of depth came back to haunt them. Tennessee lost starting cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis in the first half, and the secondary could not keep up with the Saints’ explosive offense, allowing quarterback Tyler Shough have a day.
The Titans will enter the offseason with significant questions on their roster, especially at cornerback, where the only remaining healthy Titans’ cornerback, Darrell Baker, is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent.
Armed with massive salary cap space, Tennessee will have a chance to add to its roster in free agency ahead of the draft, but with the team boasting a draft-and-develop philosophy, maximizing its draft efforts will be a must, and those efforts got a little easier on Sunday.
With Cleveland’s upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee was able to gain ground in the 2026 draft standings and would now hold the fourth pick if the season were to end today. Even with the loss, their strength of schedule would put them behind both the New York Jets and New York Giants in the projected draft order. The Las Vegas Raiders (2-14) would hold the first overall selection.
