Game over. The #Titans defense collapsed in the 4th quarter. 34-26, Saints win.

The Tennessee Titans (3-13) came out strong, but could not keep up with the surging New Orleans Saints (6-10), who won their fourth in a row with a 34-26 victory in Week 17 action.
The Titans’ razor-thin depth was challenged early and in the second half, Saints quarterback Tyler Shough took advantage of the undermanned Titans’ defense and led them to victory. Tennessee had some solid moments, but in a game between evenly matched teams, the roster deficiencies and thin depth chart proved to be too much to overcome.
Here’s how fans reacted on social media to the Week 17 loss.
#Titans fall in a heart breaker 34-26 at home.
They end the season 1-7 in home games.

Seinfield had a better ending than what we saw from the #titans at the end of the Saints game. All that was missing was the music from Benny Hill…

The #Titans defense made a big play to hold on to the lead with 11:06 to go in the game, but then fell apart on two late Saints’ TDs.
So the home team lost 34-26 and fell to 3-13 as young DBs were victimized. New Orleans’ rookie QB Tyler Shough was 22-27 for 333 yards and two… pic.twitter.com/ERpRMgEGm5

The future of the NFL is on display in Nashville today! Cam Ward vs. Tyler Shough is living up to the hype. Ward’s arm talent is insane, but Shough is showing that veteran-like poise for the Saints. Who’s your pick for the better rookie season? #Saints #Titans #NFL #WardVsShough…

The #Titans may have lost today but this team has made such a vast improvement in the last few weeks. Cam Ward is LEGIT. A lot of things to look forward to in the future.

The #Titans last-ditch efforts fall short and the Saints hold on for a 34-26 comeback win.
Tennessee still has not won back-to-back games since Nov. 2022

As much time as Cam had I’m not sure why he didn’t heave one to the end zone on the last play. It’s a low percentage chance but you have to take it. #Titans had a good first half and a terrible second half. That’s been a problem that the next coach has to change. #TitanUp
