The Green Bay Packers are locked into the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff field, and now only two teams are in the race to be the No. 2 seed — which means hosting the Packers in the NFC Wild Card Round — as the NFL enters the final week of the regular season.

Based on Week 18 results, the Packers will either go to Chicago for a third game against the Bears or go to Philadelphia for a rematch with the Eagles. In other words, the Packers will go on the road to play the NFC North champion or the defending Super Bowl champion to open the postseason.

According to The Athletic’s playoff simulator, the Packers have a 60 percent chance of playing the Bears and a 40 percent chance of playing the Eagles.

The Packers will play the Bears if…

— The Bears beat the Detroit Lions in Week 18, or the Commanders beat the Eagles in Week 18.

The Packers will play the Eagles if…

— The Bears lose to the Lions in Week 18 AND the Eagles beat the Commanders in Week 18.

Both scenarios create a rematch.

The Packers and Bears split the season series, and both teams won at home in dramatic fashion. Over a three-week stretch between Week 14 and Week 16, the Packers held on for a 28-21 win over the Bears at Lambeau Field and then gave up a 16-6 lead late in the fourth quarter and lost 22-16 in overtime to the Bears at Soldier Field.

Packers-Eagles in 2025

The Packers and Eagles faced off on “Monday Night Football” in Week 10. While the game was scoreless at the half, the Eagles eventually took a 10-0 lead in the fourth quarter on a Devonta Smith touchdown catch, and the Packers were unable to complete a comeback despite scoring a late touchdown and having two shots to get into position for a game-tying field goal. Josh Jacobs was stuffed on 4th-and-1 at Green Bay’s 44-yard line, and Brandon McManus’ 64-yard field goal attempt as time expired was short and wide. The Eagles survived, 10-7.
