Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media Monday as the Lions prepare for the regular season finale in Chicago against the Bears Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
Here are all the key questions to come out of Campbell’s media availability:
What is the mindset at the Meijer Performance Center this week heading into the last game of the season?
Every season every team is different, and this will be the final week the 2025 version of the Detroit Lions will be together. Campbell said Monday that fact hasn’t been lost on him.
“We aren’t where we want to be with one left,” he said. “But in the same token this group of guys has laid it on the line and come to work every day and busted their tail and so really, you got one more to not let the guy next to you down.”
With one game left on the schedule, even with the playoffs not a part of the equation, Campbell expects all the players and coaches to do their part this week preparing to play in Chicago Sunday and giving the Bears a fight.
“We have one more left,” he said. “No, we’re not playing for the playoffs but there are still things we can find out. And I expect the guys that we have here to give it what they have one more time.”
Campbell said there’s still a lot he’ll be evaluating Sunday, including how players play knowing they have nothing to play for beyond that game. Some of those Week 18 evaluations could have offseason implications when the Lions start to build their 2026 roster.
