The Philadelphia Eagles finally know exactly when they’ll kick off against the Washington Commanders in Week 18, Sunday, Jan. 4 at 4:25 p.m.

Official Game Time for Eagles vs. Commanders

That was announced by the NFL just after the end of the San Francisco 49ers’ Sunday Night Football win over the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears will kick off against the Detroit Lions at the same time as the Eagles-Commanders game. Philadelphia can earn the No. 2 seed with a win and a Bears loss.

With Philadelphia’s win in Buffalo on Sunday, coupled with Chicago’s loss in San Francisco, Week 18 has plenty of meaning for both teams.

The Race for the NFC No. 2 Seed

The Bears head into Week 18 holding the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs thanks to their Black Friday win in Philadelphia, with both teams sitting at 11-5.

Should the Bears defeat the Lions, they would clinch the No. 2 seed. A Bears loss combined with an Eagles win would give Philadelphia the No. 2 seed and drop the Bears to the No. 3 seed in the NFC standings.

Potential Wild Card Matchups: Who Will the Eagles Face?

If the Eagles are able to climb up to the No. 2 seed, they would have the Green Bay Packers in Philadelphia in the Wild Card round on the weekend of January 10. If the Eagles stay at No. 3, they would face either Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles in Philadelphia.
