The Dallas Cowboys made a surprising decision earlier this week, agreeing to part ways with former All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs ahead of the NFL regular season finale.
It didn’t take long for Diggs to find a new home, with the Green Bay Packers quickly scooping him up on the waiver wire.
With a new home comes a new jersey number, which brings an unusual look to the veteran defensive back.

When Diggs takes the field in Green Bay for the first time, he will do so in the third jersey number of his career. Diggs made his debut in his new threads on Thursday afternoon, rocking the No. 28.

Diggs previously wore No. 27 and No. 7 during his time in Dallas.
Now that Diggs is in Green Bay, he is reunited with his former Cowboys teammate and best friend, Micah Parsons. Unfortunately, Parsons will not be playing for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL earlier in the year.

There is no word on when Diggs will be making his Packers debut.
The Packers will finish off the 2025-26 regular season on Sunday, January 4, on the road against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. Green Bay currently sits in second place in the NFC North and is the No. 7 overall seed in the NFC.
