The Eagles are set to rest key starters and contributors in Sunday’s season finale against the Commanders, and Marcus Epps will likely be added to that list. The veteran safety self-reported concussion symptoms on Thursday and was placed in the protocol. With Epps and Reed Blankenship listed as starters, the expectation is that Sydney Brown would start, along with practice squad safety Andre Sam.
A valuable member of the defense, Epps has added stability to the secondary with Andrew Mukuba sidelined. Epps has started the last four games, logging 21 tackles and 250 snaps since getting signed to the active roster.
