LAMBEAU FIELD, Wis. (WBAY) – The playoffs are top of mind for every Packers fan right now, hoping for a postseason turnaround after the team’s recent three-game losing streak.
As the postseason approaches, Packers fans, who have already seen a laundry list of injuries this season, know it’s not going to get much easier.
“I’m not sure, I think they’re too hurt. The defense is struggling, especially with the run, and pass defense is sketchy as well, so we’ll see,” says Bob Frontczak of Muskego.
Some fans we spoke with feel Jordan Love’s highly anticipated return will be integral to the team’s postseason performance.
“Malik Willis has done an incredible job filling in for him, however they’ve worked so much with Jordan Love throughout the season. I think getting him back in there is really going to set the tone,” says Allison Hammond of Howard.
“It’s great to have him back, I think Love is your quarterback, you’ve got to have love to win this,” says Rocky Compton
The Packers will not play another game at Lambeau this season, no matter their playoff success, but hopes are high for the green and gold to go make a statement on the road in the coming weeks.
“They’re going to step up where they need to and make sure that defensive line is doing what needs to be done, and offense is going to lock in, they have Watson and everyone on the offense, I think it’s going to be great,” says Hammond.
“Love will do his job, you put the defense together, the special teams together, and whether it’s the Eagles or whether it’s the Bears, beat ‘em,” says Compton.
The Packers’ recent history with both Philadelphia and Chicago has been frustrating for fans, but most feel resting some of their starters in the regular season finale gives the green and gold their best chance at redemption in the Wild Card Round.
