NFL Network pundit Kyle Brandt is not for everyone, but he’s when on, his rants often make some great points. And those points are often conveyed LOUDLY, given Brandt’s INTENSE style of delivery. This past week was all about the 2025 NFL schedule release, an event that has now reached “an announcement that even has its own announcement” status.

The league, along with their multiple television broadcasting partners, deemed the Tennessee Titans, as the cliche goes, not ready for prime time. And that means the #1 overall pick in last month’s draft, Miami’s Cam Ward, won’t feature in a nationally televised prime time game either.

(Unless something unforeseen happens, and the Titans can get “flexed” in).

Brandt is absolutely right to be upset about this, and he backed up with raw emotion with some good, cold, hard facts.

I screamed about the No. 1 overall pick. But you won’t click because apparently I’m the only person who’s interested in Cam Ward. pic.twitter.com/iaZnuSyn8U

“Last year, Caleb Williams, number one overall pick- three prime time games,” Brandt said. “And you might say, Chicago is a big media market, okay, how about Bryce Young, he plays for Carolina.

“He got two prime time games, as the #1 overall picked quarterback. Go back a year before that even, Trevor Lawrence, in media market 32, as a #1 overall pick quarterback- he got a prime time game.”

No lies detected.

Brandt also ranted about how Ward might be the most overlooked, under-the-radar #1 overall selected QB that we have ever seen. We all know the reason why that is, but just in case some people don’t, Brandt spelled it out.

“They literally don’t remember the Titans, and I don’t know what Cam Ward did to anybody, to make him so unlikable, so uninteresting that we would rather give ten prime time games to the Shedeur Sanders deal, than one to Cam Ward, who was drafted 5,000 picks ahead of him,” Brandt added.

“I want to see this guy, apparently no one else does.”

While he’s absolutely correct in articulating how Shedeur Sanders has overshadowed Cam Ward (and I agree with his implication that this is unjust), the Browns were also shut out of prime time games this past week.
