Sports Seriously
The 16-game NFL schedule for Week 18 kicks off today with two games with huge playoff implications.
There are two NFL games today, starting with the Carolina Panthers visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a start time of 4:30 p.m. ET, and the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers at 8 p.m. ET. Both games are on the TV channels of ABC and ESPN and streaming on Fubo and on ESPN Unlimited.
The Panthers can secure the NFC South Division title with a victory or tie over the Bucs, and earn a home wild-card playoff game in the 4-5 matchup against the second-place NFC West team (Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles Rams). The Bucs need a win and then will have to wait to see if New Orleans can upset Atlanta on Sunday. If not, the Panthers win a three-way tie between the three 8-9 teams.
The nightcap features the NFC West title game between the Seahawks and 49ers. The winner earns the division crown and No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, which includes a first-round bye. The loser will play on the road in the wild-card round. San Francisco would drop to No. 5 or 6 with a loss; Seattle would be the 5-seed with a loss.
