The Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions will play in the season finale at Soldier Field on Sunday. Here’s all the details on how to watch the game:
One final regular season matchup awaits for the Chicago Bears. A rematch with the Detroit Lions is on the docket. The Lions blew the doors off the Bears back in Week 2, 52-21. Now, a much different looking Bears team, especially as NFC North champs, play host to Ben Johnson’s former employer.
The Bears are expecting to play their starters, as the No. 2 seed in the NFC remains on the line. A win, and the Bears lock up that spot. A loss, and they’ll need some help from the Washington Commanders, who play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. If the Commanders win, the Bears remain in the two seed.
The Bears are largely healthy entering the season finale, with Rome Odunze, Ozzy Trapilo, Nick McCloud, and Jaquan Brisker all questionable for Sunday’s game. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka is the only player officially out. Luther Burden III, Jonah Jackson, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Josh Blackwell will all play this week. That said, Odunze has expressed his desire to play if his foot will allow him.
For the Lions, this game is about pride. For the Bears, its about playoff seeding, but also about pride. Ben Johnson will surely want to end the regular season with a win over the same team that blew them out earlier this season. Although both teams took a much different path to this point, the Bears still see revenge when it comes to the Lions.
