Texas A&M is bolstering its roster with an experienced tight end.

Former UTSA tight end Houston Thomas announced his transfer commitment to A&M on Saturday. Thomas, a College Station native, shared his transfer news through a post on X.

Thomas spent the last four years at UTSA, finishing the 2025 season with 34 catches for 347 yards and two touchdowns. He originally announced his plans to hit the portal on Dec. 27.

According to 247Sports, Thomas was a three-star recruit when he played at College Station High School. He held offers from schools like Louisiana, Fresno State and Washington State before he signed with UTSA.

Thomas gives Marcel Reed and the Aggies another experienced pass-catching weapon. A&M notably lost tight end Theo Melin Öhrström to the transfer portal this offseason.
