The Green Bay Packers had placed receiver Savion Williams (foot) and offensive lineman Donovan Jennings (throat) on the injured reserve, where they’ll join defensive tackle Jordon Riley, cornerback Nate Hobbs, cornerback Kamal Hadden and safety Zayne Anderson, four other players who were put on the IR earlier this week.
Jennings suffered a throat injury in Wednesday’s practice, according to the coaching staff.
Williams and Jennings going on IR opened up two roster spots, which the Packers used to bring up receiver Jakobie Keeney-James and offensive lineman Lecitus Smith from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. On top of that, the team also elevated tight end Drake Dabney and linebacker Jamon Johnson from the practice squad to the gameday roster.
